Energy Saving
Energy saving is, without a doubt, the quickest, cheapest and most effective way to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and greenhouse gases emissions in the atmosphere, due to their use. The concept of energy saving is based on the effort to find ways that will reduce energy consumption and improve the energy efficiency of energy consuming equipment, without affecting comfort conditions for users.
Renewable Energy Sources
Renewable energy sources are those that can naturally & in short time renew the energy they save. Such forms of energy are: solar energy (e.g. energy and passive solar systems, photovoltaic systems), wind energy (e.g. wind turbines) and geothermal energy. Their use is a strongly increasing trend in recent years, worldwide, serving the objective of protecting the environment, as they are "clean" and environmentally friendly energy sources.
